Android apps to map mobile coverage in Malaysia

Untuk versi Bahasa Melayu, klik di sini.

Thinking your telco's coverage map is inaccurate/overkill? Prefer to use alternative ways to check for mobile coverage? Here i list 3 apps that can be used to maps telco's coverage.

Notes:
- Disable any RAM/battery optimization for these apps in order for these apps to work properly.
- There isn't any app that can map mobile coverage in iOS devices because of API restrictions.

Cellmapper

- Download here (Play Store)
- You can map right away without logging in
- Coverage map shows estimated & exact location of the cell towers/mast.
- It can take as short as 24 hours & as long as a week for your contribution to show on its coverage map.
- In order to see how much you've contributed, create a account.

nPerf

- Download here (Play Store)
- You can map right away without logging in
- You still can map in nPerf with rooted device, but your mapping won't be submitted to nPerf servers. (there is some trick tho)
- It takes less than 24 hours for your contribution to reflect on its coverage map.

OpenSignal

- Download here (Play Store)
- You can map by default (unless disabled in app settings)
- Coverage map for 3G/2G is combined
